Altsoba

The Setting

Altsoba School of Sorcery is in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. A few miles north of the town and up into the mountains, the school rests. The locals know it's there and they recognize it as a boarding school for the obscenely wealthy. Pictures of the school can be seen all around this website.

The dorms are split by sex, divided into opposite sides of the building. The boys reside in the East Wing and the girls in the West Wing. Within the dorms, they are separated by age. The top floor is Year 12 (sometimes mixed with Year 11), the level below that is Year 11 (sometimes mixed with 12), and so forth. Year 9 students are assigned their roommates after that students can request their roommates and suitemates.

The dorms themselves are made up of two bedroom suites. Four to a suite, two to a bedroom. To the left, you can see what the dorms look like, more or less, though students are welcome to rearrange the furniture. There is a communal kitchen on the floor below the Year 9 students, large enough for some students to cook simultaneously; this area also acts as a lounge/study area and has some comfortable pillows, couches, bean bags, tables, and chairs.
